Adrian Placenti

I was born in Bueno Aires. I am a Composer, Pianist, Conductor. Reasercher. I am an Academician of the Academia Porteña del Lunfardo.

Awards: Sonata for piano “El loco” received the Special Mention for "Promociones Musicales". The sextet "La Venice de L'Ouest" was a finalist in the contest organized by the "Fundación Omega" (the work premiered under the direction of Maestro Gerardo Gandini). 1st. Prize in Instrumental Composition at the "XVII Hugo del Carril Contest" organized by the Goberment of the Buenos Aires City with the tango "Ayer y hoy" (2009).

Recordings: "Volveré y Seré Sillones" Luis XV, "Ayer y hoy, mis Tangos", "Tangos in the USA", "Tango Suite Puertas Abiertas", "Minimal Piano Tango" and "Tangos del 900".

International tours: International Festival "Les Allumès", in the city of Nantes, France. Around the USA in 2014 and 2016 giving concerts and classes at the Universities of "Graceland", Iowa, and "Baker", Kansas and in studios in New York. Both trips were declared "Of High Artistic and Cultural Interest" by the Argentine Foreign Ministry. 2018 tour with the "Tango Harmony Orchestra Budapest" through the countries of Hungary, Austria, Germany and Holland. In 2020 the show "Puertas Abiertas-Pavo Urvan" in the cities of Zadar and Dubromik, Croatia and in Budapest, Hungary, invited by the Zadar concert office, then extended the tour to Italy and Germany.

In 2013 I organized a cycle of interviews named “De musicos, de poetas y de locos todos tenemos un poco”, at the "Academia Porteña del Lunfardo" where personalities such as Garello, Atilio Stampone, Saravia have participated as guests. I am the organizer of the "Boedo Tango Festival". I played some concerts in Buenos Aires at "La Esquina Homero Manzi", "Parakultural", "Academia Nacional del Tango", "Academia Porteña del Lunfardo", World Tango "BATANGO" with Johana Brundo and with the sextet directed by me.
