Duo Placenti Szabo

The Duo made its first European Tour between the months of October-November 2023 with great success. It included concerts and masterclasses in France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Germany.

Adrián (pianist based in Buenos Aires) and Alejandro (bandoneonist based in Spain), both Argentines and with extensive experience in tango, met playing on a tour of Europe in 2018 to which Adrián was summoned by the prestigious "Tango Harmony Orchestra" of Budapest and in which Alejandro already participated as first bandoneon. The musical connection between the two was immediate and at that moment the desire to play together as a duo was born, in a very "milonguero danceable" style, to dance and condense the strength and spirit of the orchestras of the 40s in the sounds of the bandoneon and the piano.  That is to say, to transmit that danceable impulse and that sound that so characteristic to Buenos Aires. So it was that at that time, while playing improvised in their free times, they laid the foundations for what is now a reality.

Then Alejandro traveled to Buenos Aires on a tour, meeting Adrián again and they took the opportunity to plan a repertoire, to arrange and rehearse tangos then the project began to grow.

Then the pandemic opened a parenthesis that has now closed. With the musical material already prepared, they launched themselves offering a quality Argentine Tango.
